From the Commander:
Welcome home all you sun birds
that flocked to the mountains to retreat
from the heat. Only the hardy stay and
stick it out. For those of you that
flocked to the Arizona mountains, I'm
sure you had your fill of heavy rains,
sorry, not everywhere is perfect.
Things are moving along at the Post
and major updates are underway. The
building roof is receiving a major repair
and the front patio will start by mid
September. The main dining area
interior ceiling will receive a major
cleaning and repairs as needed. The
Ladies Aux. is completely revamping
the stage area and I'm sure it will be
great upon completion. In addition, we
are adding speakers to the canteen
area and outside the building from the
main stage. This will enhance hearing
what is said on the main stage during
major events where everyone cannot fit
in the main hall.
I have made it through the first two
months and everyone has been a great
help during my initiation. As always, I
look forward to enhancing our Post and
making it the best in District 8. Thank
you everyone. I will always do my best
to lead us into the future.

Quartermaster Report
Well, we are barely keeping our
heads above water. But at least it is
above. We have switched our ways of
recording our financial records. We
now use quick books and it is working
well so far.
We need more member
participation in our activities. We have
new machines at the Post "The Raffle".
You can win money with these
machines, from $1.00 to $1200.00. Come
in and try them out. We are starting Wii
bowling on August 14, 2010 at 4pm. Cost
is $3.00 but you can win money with
high games. Bowing will be every
Saturday at 4pm.
Remember we have the chili
cook-off coming up on October 16, we
need your attendance at the event. If
you know how to cook chili, remember
to enter the cook-off. Don't miss the fun.
We also have pool every Tuesday
and Wednesday. Darts every Monday
and Thursday, we have bingo every
Sunday and the cash ball is growing
bigger. Come try your luck.
Also be aware of what is happening
politically, we need to take our country
back. The one we put our lives on the
line for.
Until next time, God Bless and keep
your powder dry.
QM; Sam Muniz
